Dear Jo,

17/00734/B Alterations and extension to provide additional living accommodation Marrinagh Ballajora I
Man IM7 1AZ

I objected, wearing my then SPMC&E hat, to the first 2 storey, flat-roofed extension, at this house some years ago.

Now they are proposing more!

I strongly believe, that as a general Planning, Rule, 2 storey (or higher) flat roofs should not be allowed on domestic premises - particularly those exposed in the countryside. They look awful!

(Apart from the visible angle, flat roofs are notorious in giving leakage problems. My long life as a Building Surveyor has taught me that, and the owners should take notice. Don't have one. Do the job properly and put on a pitched roof to match the original.)

Yours sincerely,

IAN & ELIZABETH
